Ruby Rendall hails from the island of Stronsay in the Orkney Islands.
Her upbringing was steeped in music from traditional Scottish ,Classical and American Country Rock although if you ask her she has interests in Jazz and Blues.
Having studied Music at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music in Glasgow Ruby became a teacher back home in her native Orkney.
